Ocean State Landscapers recommended lawn care program
Our Signature fertilizing program will ensure that your lawn will be looking its best. The mix of applications that we have put together is meant to provide the necessary nutrients and also the proper weed and insect control to keep your lawn green for the entire season. Steps 1, 2, 4 & 5 are included in our 4 Step Program however we recommend adding step 3 as well.
A combination of pre-emergent crabgrass control and slow release fertilizer is applied to all lawn areas. This step will insure maximum greening as well as control crabgrass and broadleaf weeds.
Late Spring Application – Step 2
This stage includes a post-emergent broadleaf weed control with slow release fertilizer. This step helps control any weeds that have already emerged.
Early Summer Application – Step 3 (Recommended)
A combination of preventative grub control, slow release fertilizer with merit is applied to prevent fall grub damage and a variety of other insects.
Summer Application – Step 4
A balanced slow release turf builder fertilizer is applied to insure greening, as well as root growth. This application will help lawns to recover from damage due to heat/drought stress common during July and August.
Late Fall Application – Step 5
Winterizer and lime is applied in the final stage. This step will establish early root growth and green up the following spring as well as adjust Ph levels in the soil. Every lawn in New England requires annual lime therefore we provide one free application.
